Synthesis, a South Africa, home-grown specialised financial technology company that provides software development, consulting and integration services to financial institutions, has enabled the roll out of another groundbreaking innovation in financial technology by developing the e-Accounts portal for UNIGRO Financial Services<\/a>.<\/p>\n

UNIGRO, the financial services division of leading agricultural services company AFGRI<\/a>, became the first South African agricultural lending provider (excluding the tier-one banks) to provide internet transaction services to its customers with the launch of its online offering.<\/p>\n

eAccounts<\/a> is a transactional online system which lets farmers manage their entire business, finance and planning on one user-friendly platform that\u2019s secure, instant, convenient and accessible from a variety of devices.<\/p>\n

Johann Barnard, Chief Operations Officer, UNIGRO Financial Services and e-Accounts project owner, says the platform is a resounding success. \u201cAFGRI e-Accounts enables farmers to manage their entire operation online \u2013 from loans, forex and payments, to grain trading and equipment purchases. It offers a secure, easy-to-use transaction and management platform for customers. Instead of having to call or email AFGRI, customers can now access their accounts from multiple devices, simply and intuitively, 24 hours a day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Founded in 1997, Synthesis Software Technologies offers highly specialised software development, consulting and integration services, and technology-based product solutions to banking and other financial institutions in South Africa and other emerging markets. It enables its clients to successfully run on the cloud, perform business processing functions, meet regulatory requirements, integrate with payments gateways, trading platforms and exchanges, and secure sensitive information.<\/p>\n
